Colllecting Baseball Cards

I used to deal in baseball cards, and some memorabilia in the mid to late 1980’s. Through an old client I had the opportunity to sell a very rare piece of baseball lore. The piece that I was fondest of was a rare document signed by Harry Wright. A founding father of the game. The document was a contract of some player that was signed by Harry Wright, the manager, circa 1870. It was written on Cincinnati Red Stocking’s letterhead.

The highest price that has ever been paid for a player-signed contract was $996,000. Babe Ruth’s rookie-year contract from 1919 sold for this price in June of 2005. vintage baseball cards contracts are greatly sought after by collectors, especially in recent years. The auction of Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson’s contract will be closely watched by collectors and might set a new standard of value for such historic papers.

Hang a smaller picture lower than usual–between the top of the end table and the bottom of Vintage baseball cards the lamp shade for an unexpected element of surprise for the person sitting in the chair.

His philatelic interests reached around the world. He especially enjoyed collecting vintage baseball cards for sale from various locales. When his oldest daughter was in school, he suggested to her that a good school project would be to write to many of the foreign embassies to get information on that country. She suspects to this day that what he really hoped was that each reply would bring him a unique stamp or at least postmark that he could add to his accumulation.

Finding the right niche to market your Internet based business or website is key. You can’t selling baseball cards to someone that wants to buy old Star Wars toys. While you might sell a few, the point is, ultimately, that a person seeking buing baseball cards Hudson won’t be spending time in the same area as a person looking for Star Wars toys. So before you go rushing to advertise your business to whomever it may concern, make sure you narrow your focus in order to improve the end results.

Having said that, a number of factors and variables do contribute to what makes it a best selling item on eBay or not. However, it still all pretty much boils down to an individual. An individual’s hobbies and interests can determine what sells. For example, a baseball card collector would be able to topps bowman for a start. This is because this said collector has the interest in it, the knowledge regarding the prices and where to source for cards that are in demand. This will give this said individual a competitive edge over other sellers of the same item.

Start by going online and searching “how to earn extra money.” There’s a fair number of how-to guides out there, but beware of the ones that charge a fee. Chances are they’ll just be giving you the same advice you could get from any free guide out there, and your goal is to learn how to earn extra money, not how to spend money you don’t have!
